What we collect and why

The app may automatically store a bounded structured opportunity or response classification in your private record before you review it; it can be incomplete or wrong, so you remain responsible for reviewing and correcting it before acting. Do not paste passwords, mailbox tokens, financial details, or information that is not yours to process. |

Applications, messages, and consent
German Interview Trainer does not sign in to job boards for you, submit applications automatically, contact employers or recruiters, or make hiring decisions. When the service shows an official application page, you choose whether to open it, review every answer and document, and submit it yourself under that site's terms. Marking an opportunity as applied only updates your private tracker.
The current service does not connect to or monitor your email mailbox. A recruiter or employer message is analyzed only when you deliberately paste text into the relevant tool. We do not use a stored phone number, push subscription, or email address for job-search reminders unless the separate consent required for that channel has been recorded; you may withdraw optional reminder consent at any time.
Processors we use to run the service
Your data is processed by these infrastructure providers, each only for its stated task: Deepgram (speech-to-text and text-to-speech), Groq and Cerebras (interviewer language generation from transcripts), Google Gemini / Google Cloud (live audio only when that mode is enabled), ElevenLabs (optional voice mode), LanguageTool (grammar checks), Google Fonts (web typography), browser push providers such as Google, Mozilla, Apple, or Microsoft when you enable notifications, Render (backend and database), and Vercel (frontend). We do not sell your data and there is no third-party advertising or tracking on the service.
Retention & deletion
Your account data and training history are kept while your account exists so your training can build on itself. Coaching-chat history is capped and kept only to preserve training continuity. Candidate Passport and opportunity records are kept while your account exists or until you remove them. Raw CV text used for the pre-signup X-Ray stays in browser memory and is never sent to our server. Raw pasted vacancy and recruiter-message text is discarded after the requested server-side analysis; bounded structured results may remain in your private record, including results generated automatically before you review them. Operational security logs are minimized and retained only as needed to investigate failures or abuse. Email alhassanmaarouf8@gmail.com from your account address to request access, correction, export, or deletion. Deletion covers the account, profile, Candidate Passport, opportunity history, coaching history, payment records that are not legally required, and unpublished feedback. You may also remove individual opportunity records in the app where that control is available.
Your microphone
The microphone is used only while a session or drill is running, only after your browser asks for permission, and recording stops when the session ends or you close the drill.
